1/19/2024 0 Comments Stockpile card![]() There is more to this than my simple explanation, but it at least gives you a small idea of what I am saying. You will show your passive card, which will be a 10, and then stockpile your 5 onto the other 5 to make a total value of 10. Let's say there is a 5 on field, that you want to stockpile with another 5, to create a value of 10. First, you have a passive card in your hand, which you need in order to stockpile. To stockpile, you have a few things that are going on. Stockpiling cards is by far the trickiest part of this game. For instance, a 5 will get you another 5, a 3 and a 2, a fool and a 4 or even all of these if they were on the season you were harvesting cards from. They can harvest a card, where you show a card in your hand and take the card/cards that match that value. They can sow a card, where they place a card down onto the board. Each turn, players have a series of actions they can take. At its heart, Illimat is a card game in which players attempt to collect cards and obtain the most total, the most with sun symbols, but not the most with winter symbols. It was a Kickstarter project that fulfilled some time ago, and is now available for sale via retail. Illimat is a game designed by Keith Baker (Eberron, Gloom), made in collaboration with the band the Decembrists. Sometimes the best of intentions are all for naught. So instead I figured we could play a card game that one player had brought called Illimat, and then we could play Pandemic Fall of Rome. However, by the time our 3rd player showed up, it just felt like it was going to take far too long to teach the game and then try to get it in. Last Thursday, we had 2 groups, one group of 4 would play Villainous, and the other group was supposed to play Auzstralia. The advantage is that I get to play a lot of new games, the downside is that I am not getting games to the table that I spend time learning and preparing to teach. However, many of the new people we have added are legitimate hard core board game players, with collections and tastes to match myself and the other member of the group who are typically the ones to bring games. We have never gotten more than 8 together at one time, but it has started to move towards 2 tables of people playing games instead of always searching for a 5-6 player game for everybody. First, in the last year this group has gone from 4 people to up to 13. This came far more into focus last Thursday at my regular Thursday Night Game Night group. Earlier this week, I mentioned feeling like I was having trouble getting back into regular gaming since I had come back from the Dice Tower Retreat.
